- Pay your bill.
How quickly can I expect a reply?
We strive to have everything answered within 48–72 hours, but depending on your provider's schedule and what research is needed in regards to your original message, sometimes it can take a little longer.
What types of questions should I ask through MyChart?
Quick questions about your health, medical history, recent labs/imaging, updates on recent health changes or side effects to medications. When using MyChart, you need to remember that it can't take place of a visit, but if you are unsure if a visit is necessary, it may be a good way to figure that out.
MyChart is not appropriate for urgent needs or emergencies. Please go to urgent care for urgent, non-life-threatening medical concerns; in the case of an emergency, call 911 or get to the nearest emergency room.
You want to think of MyChart messages almost like Twitter—it’s not where you want to write an essay. If you feel you are unable to say want you want within a few lines, it's probably a good idea to schedule a follow-up appointment with your provider.
How can MyChart positively impact my care?
MyChart is a great way to update your provider on things going on with your health. It takes away the need to sit on the phone or play phone tag with the office. It allows you a means of more direct access. With growing technology, especially in our area, it allows you more freedom and ability to communicate with your care team.
What are the benefits of MyChart for healthcare providers?
In the same ways MyChart can be great for patients, it is equally great for providers. It allows us time to help care for our patients in a new and direct way. I appreciate that I can have a quick follow up with patients during the work day when it's so inconvenient to call between my schedule and theirs. It really allows more improved communication between us, which really in the end helps with better care.
